Dinner is decided.
Rooted Kitchen takes the daily deciding off your plate. October is planned for a family of four — breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack — with weekly shopping lists, prep guidance and full dinner recipes.
A month of meals for a family of four
The planning is done.
Your whole month is already handled.
Use the plan exactly as written or swap what works for your family. Lunch intentionally uses leftovers often, and each week includes a short prep rhythm so the plan keeps moving without turning Sunday into an all-day meal-prep marathon.
Week 1: Settle In.

Prep once. About an hour.
Hard-boil 6 eggs · wash apples and snack produce · chop carrots and celery · portion hummus vegetables · cook 2 cups dry rice for bowls · leave potatoes whole until needed.
The last-one rule.
Open the last one? Write it down. Last hummus, last dozen eggs, last can of pumpkin — it goes on next week's list immediately. No Tuesday-night surprises.
The list is ready. Now make the shop easier.
This is the permanent home for the groceries, kitchen tools and everyday things that make Rooted Kitchen work in real life. As our shopping links are added, they'll live here instead of cluttering the meal plan itself.
Some future shopping links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, MD Rooted & Still may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Recommendations stay rooted in what fits the plan and real family life.
